Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)

We treat chronic pain caused by conditions such as osteoarthritis, herniated discs, and overuse injuries affecting the back, neck, and joints. Our physiatrists use non-surgical methods—like joint and trigger point injections, soft tissue therapy, and medication management—to reduce pain and improve mobility. Treatment plans are tailored to restore comfort and support long-term joint health. 

After a stroke, spinal cord injury, or traumatic brain injury, patients often experience weakness, spasticity, or mobility challenges. Our PM&R physicians design individualized rehabilitation programs to restore functional independence, incorporating assistive devices, strength training, and cognitive retraining when needed. We also support patients with chronic neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis to maintain daily function and prevent complications. 

Recovery after major surgery, organ transplant, or cancer treatment often requires specialized rehabilitation. At CLS Health, our team creates structured, progressive plans to rebuild strength, improve endurance, and restore independence. We closely coordinate with surgeons and care teams to minimize complications and support a full recovery. 

We evaluate and treat mobility issues related to balance disorders, amputation, or neurological conditions like cerebral palsy. Our comprehensive approach includes gait training, prosthetic and orthotic fitting, and fall-prevention strategies. Each treatment plan is designed to help patients move with greater stability and confidence. 

CLS Health provides care for both acute and chronic workplace injuries that affect physical performance or cause ongoing pain. Our PM&R specialists perform functional capacity evaluations (FCEs), return-to-work assessments, and disability prevention programs. These services help patients recover safely while supporting employers in developing effective reintegration plans. 

We specialize in non-surgical pain management to help patients achieve long-term relief and restore physical function. Treatments include joint and nerve block injections, trigger point therapy, and customized medication plans. Each strategy is designed to target the source of pain and support whole-body wellness.

Common uses include evaluating readiness for work, tracking recovery progress, and determining the need for assistive devices such as braces, prosthetics, or mobility aids.
